They trap, they tame, they purroudly snuggle kitties, give them nose-boops, kiss their furry faces and aren’t afurraid to admit it. These guys make it cool to love cats and we love them for it.

THE KINGS OF TNR

Trap King Sterling Davis

We love the Trap King not just for his dynamic purrsonality but for his mantra: “You don’t lose cool points for compassion.” He’s a vocal advo-cat for feral cats – trapping, neutering and returning them back to their colonies… and teaching others how to do the same.

The Cat Man of West Oakland

Adam Myatt, aka The Cat Man of West Oakland, is a huge suppurrtor of community cats and shelter cats. He’s a Cat Dad to rescues and not only practices TNR, but educates others about it. He is also the co-founder of the Cat Town Cafe, helping rescues find their furever homes.

Cat Man Chris Poole

Look – it’s me(ow) being held by Chris at the Feline Film Festival!

You know him as Cat Dad to Internet celebricats Cole & Marmalade but he is so much meowr. Chris is out in the trenches, trapping cats, getting them fixed, making sure they get the propurr medical treatment, then placing them in foster homes. Chris may have won us over with his hissterical cat videos, but it’s his compassion for community cats that makes us true fans.

Chris the Cat Guy

Chris is just a guy trying to do good. In 2018, he was able to trap, sterilize and return 125 cats to their colonies. He also fostered 63 cats himself and got 49 cats/kittens off the street into foster or furever homes. Thank you, Chris, for all your pawsome work. You make us purroud.

Paul the Cat Guy

Paul Santell works tirelessly to save and impurrove the lives of homeless cats and kittens living in New York City. A cat in need just has to say “help meowt” and Paul will come to the rescue. He gets them medical attention as well as spaying and neutering, then returns them to their feeders if feral, or helps them get adopted. Thanks to Paul, many former street cats now have a warm home and a Human to snuggle up with.

Cory Reynolds

Cat Man Cory has a big heart. He’s Cat Dad to Silvey, but also rescues and socializes as many cats and kittens as possible, especially the shy and antisocial ones, working with the Pet Adoption Fund. In his spare time, you can find him suppurting Los Angeles rescue events or visiting the special needs cats at Milo’s Sanctuary.

Jackson Galaxy

The Cat Daddy is the star of My Cat From Hell and My Cat From Heaven. He’s also a successful book author, noted cat behaviorist, headlines Cat Camp NYC, has his own cat toy line… okay, this guy’s an empire. But what impurresses us most is that he’s the real deal. Along with his wife Minoo, he rescues and fosters cats and kittens and has formed the Jackson Galaxy Project which is dedicated to impurroving the lives of shelter animals and their dedicated advo-cats.

THE FELINETHROPIST CAT DAD

Mike Bridavsky

You may know Mike as Lil Bub‘s dude, but he is also a noted felinethropist. Last year, Mike and Bub raised over $120,000 for homeless pets and helped Halo Pets donate 1.5 million bowls of food to shelters in 2018. Impurressive! Mike has also made it cool to be a Special Needs Cat Dad, tending to Bub’s medical needs, furst and foremost.

THE FURRTOGRAPHER/RESCUER

Andrew Marttila

Andrew is the cat photographer. His newest book, Cats on Catnip, features hissterical photos of cats losing their cool on catnip. Andrew also rescues and fosters cats which so makes us want to give him slow blinks and head-butts. And we’re not the only ones who think he’s great – the Kitten Lady, Hannah Shaw, recently accepted his his purrposal.

THE MEWSICIAN

Moshow the Cat Rapper

Moshow is a lover of cats and cat ladies. He’s a Cat Dad to 5, including DJ Ravioli. We love Moshow’s pawsitive energy and his raps about cats (especially his anti-declaw lyrics). Thank mew, Moshow, for making loving cats cool.

THE PODCAST PURRDUCER/HOST

Steven Ray Morris

Cat people will know Steven as the co-host and purrducer of the cat podcast, The Purrrcast. Meowderinos (who affectionately refur to him as “STEVEN!”) love him for his purrticipation in the My Favorite Murder podcast. Last year he was on the CatCon panel: Men and Cats, a Love Story.

THE SOCIAL MEDIA STARS

Travis DesLaurier

Photo of Travis and Jacob taken in their home.

When fitness model Travis DesLaurier posted a video of himself working out with his beloved cat, Jacob, it went viral. But it’s not just his purrfect abs we’re hot fur – it’s his Cat Daddy love fur orange fluffball, Jacob. In 2018, Travis was a featured celeb at the Edmonton International Cat Festival, where he led a fitness demo with kittens.

Nathan the Cat Lady

Nathan is an actor, an entertainer and a viral cat video purrducer. We love his unabashed love of cats – he lives with 4 felines! – and his goofball sense of humor. Someone get this guy his own series, quick! (And don’t furget to cast some cats in it, too!)

James Petix

James is Cat Dad to Instagram’s Fin for the Win. He is also the host of the amewsing Catman Adventures on YouTube and the creator of the card game Catstagram: Garfield Edition, which features Internet famous cats. A big suppurtor of cat rescues and charities, James can often be seen covering cat events in Los Angeles.
