As a purrveyor of cat pawp culture, when I heard there was a new board game about Internet Cats, I reached out to the creators’ spokescat, Indie, for meowr infurmation.

KATNISS: Indie, although you’re not purrsonally credited as one of the creators of this game, it seems obvious that you had a paw in this hisstorical endeavor.

INDIE: Fur sure! I let the game creators – my Humans – believe it was all their idea, but of course you know I’m their inspurration and mews.

KATNISS: I’m feline really excited about this game because it features so many of my furiends and cats I’ve interviewed including Hosico Cat, Cole & Marmalade, Maya, Wolfie and Oskar and Klaus.

INDIE: Oh yes! We’ve also got game cards fur Lil Bub, Molly and Monty and so many other famous Internet cats.

KATNISS: The cards are illustrated by Jenny Parks, famed cat artist. I’ve been a fan of her work fur years – I’ve even interviewed her cat, Mab.

INDIE: That’s pawsome.

KATNISS: And so is this game! I can’t wait to have my own gameboard where I can knock game tokens, cards and dice onto the floor.

INDIE: That’s the way I play, too! But there’s also the option for players to battle it out to be top cat with wild card play and exciting mini-games. Which may or may not involve swatting and hissing, at least when I play it.

KATNISS: The purr-ess release says your Humans are “dedicated to purrmoting commewnity and uniting people through play.” And cats, of course.

INDIE: Lots of cats.
